April 26, 2013 – New TightVNC version 2.7.1 is released
A new version of TightVNC is now available in our Download section.
It includes a single application screen mode, performance optimization for Windows 8,
increased server security settings, and a whole heap of bug fixes.

December 20, 2012 – TightVNC version 2.6.4 is available
Today we have released TightVNC 2.6.4, to give everyone on the planet a chance to try our
latest and greatest release before the suggested “end of the world”. New version
includes updated built-in Java Viewer (version 2.6.2) and fixes a number of minor problems

April 28, 2011 – New TightVNC Java Viewer is coming!
TightVNC Java Viewer version 2 is on the final stages of development and will be publicly
released in the nearest weeks. It will be available both as free software (GNU GPL) and
commercially. Commercial licensing will allow to link its components with proprietary
programs. Please read more information here.
January 31, 2011 – Business-friendly license for TightVNC Server version 2
While TightVNC Server version 2 for Windows is available under the GNU GPL terms, that's
not the only licensing option available. We can offer the source code under a
business-friendly license if you would like to include it in your commercial software. So we
have published a document which describes such commercial licensing in detail, with all terms

January 26, 2011 – TightVNC installation script is freely available
TightVNC installation script has been publicly released and added to the downloads page. It's available under the terms of the GNU GPL
license, just like TightVNC itself. Note that TightVNC v.2 installers have been built with NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System).

July 8, 2010 – TightVNC 2.0.2 is available
TightVNC 2.0.2 fixes a packaging issue with previous version and includes the fix for Windows
DPI scaling feature (that fix was announced in 2.0.1 but was not actually included there).

July 7, 2010 – TightVNC 2.0.1 is available
TightVNC 2.0.1 is a minor update to the recent TightVNC 2.0 release. It fixes incompatibility
with Windows DPI scaling feature, recovers log files "rotation" and fixes code page
